We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tax Manager to join our accounting practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing tax compliance, tax planning, and advisory services for a diverse client base. Working closely with the Partner, this role requires a proactive professional with strong technical expertise and a client-focused approach.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and oversee personal and corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- Address and resolve HMRC inquiries and compliance checks
- Provide proactive tax planning advice to clients, identifying opportunities for tax efficiencies
- Develop tailored tax strategies for individuals and businesses
- Act as the primary contact for clients on tax-related matters
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a high level of service
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on tax-related matters
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to deliver comprehensive client solutions
- Support the Partner with advisory projects and complex tax planning
- Assist in identifying new business opportunities and strategies for client growth
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in tax, preferably within a UK-based accounting practice
- Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation, compliance, and planning
- Experience handling HMRC inquiries and compliance checks
- Proven ability to manage a high volume of personal and corporate tax returns
- Professional qualifications such as ATT, CTA, or ACA (or working towards CTA) are highly desirable
