I'm seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to my husband at home. He is 62 years old and has Progressive MS. He is hoisted (ceiling hoists) and needs support with all activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Administer medication in accordance with prescribed care plans and medical instructions.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements.
- Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and update care plans regularly.
- Follow health and safety guidelines, including first aid procedures when necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience in nursing homes, care homes, or home care environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures.
- Experience in caring for individuals.
- Proven ability to manage behaviour effectively and implement personalised care strategies.
- Valid driving licence is beneficial for transporting clients safely.
This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of my husband through compassionate caregiving. We already have a team of experienced carers but want to add an additional member to our excellent team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, patience, organisational abilities, and a genuine desire to provide high-quality patient-centred care.
