Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking for the flexibility of remote working whilst delivering exceptional residential projects? We're working with a highly respected construction consultancy that specialises in providing Quantity Surveying, Project Management and Employer's Agent services on luxury residential developments across London and the South East. Due to continued growth, they're looking to appoint an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on prestigious projects, manage your own workload and become part of a collaborative team that prides itself on delivering outstanding client service.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of multiple residential projects from pre-construction through to final account. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing cost plans and project budgets
- Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
- Preparing tender documentation and analysing returns
- Contract administration under JCT forms of contract
- Managing valuations, variations and final accounts
- Producing cost reports and financial forecasts
- Monitoring project costs and commercial performance
- Identifying and managing commercial risks
- Working closely with clients, architects, contractors and design teams
- Attending project and site meetings as required
About You
We're looking for someone with:
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
- Strong residential construction knowledge
- Experience managing projects through the full commercial lifecycle
- Good understanding of JCT contracts
- Excellent commercial awareness
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost reporting
- Full UK driving licence with the flexibility to visit sites when required
