We are currently working with an established and highly regarded main contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team. This role will suit a construction professional with a proven track record delivering permitted development and office-to-residential conversion schemes across London and the South East.

The successful candidate will initially be based on a live project in Sussex involving the delivery of a c.50 unit office-to-residential conversion scheme. Due to the location of current and future projects, candidates must ideally live within or around the M25/M23 corridor.

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for managing projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover, ensuring programme, quality, commercial and health & safety objectives are achieved throughout.

The Role:
  • Managing permitted development and office-to-residential conversion schemes
  • Overseeing projects from inception through to final handover
  • Coordinating subcontractors, consultants and site teams
  • Managing programme delivery, quality and health & safety compliance
  • Chairing progress meetings and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Resolving technical and operational challenges throughout the build process
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
About You:
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry
  • Strong background delivering permitted development projects
  • Office-to-residential conversion experience is essential
  • Experience delivering projects of approximately 50 units or similar scale
  • Must live within or around the M25/M23 corridor
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to project delivery
  • Stable career history with reputable contractors preferred
