A UK-based organisation is seeking an experienced and technically capable SQL Support Engineer to join its IT and application support team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong SQL Server, infrastructure, networking, and application support expertise who enjoys solving complex technical problems and supporting business-critical systems. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving database and server environments, supporting application deployments, troubleshooting production issues, and working closely with development and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable, high-performing systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, support, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments, including high availability systems
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments
  • Participate in a 24/7 remote on-call rota following training
  • Troubleshoot database, infrastructure, networking, and application issues
  • Perform application installations, upgrades, and configuration changes
  • Support deployment and implementation of new systems and applications
  • Monitor system performance and proactively resolve incidents
