Key Responsibilities- Maintain and evolve the SQL Server estate, including performance tuning and optimisation
- Write, review and improve complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures
- Support cross-functional teams with their data requirements
- Troubleshoot slow-running queries and address performance bottlenecks
- Respond to and resolve support tickets ranging from basic updates to complex data merges
- Monitor database performance and proactively identify improvements
- Contribute to the development of data integrity processes and automation tools
- 3+ years’ experience as a SQL Developer or in a similar data-focused role
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, indexing, and query optimisation
- Experience with Azure SQL and related services (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics is a plus)
- Strong understanding of data security and governance best practices
- Experience with SSRS, Power BI, or similar tools is advantageous
- Comfortable working in Agile, cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly
- Previous experience in a SaaS environment is beneficial
- Highly self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset
