Our client is looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer to join their growing IT team in a newly created role. This position will play a key role in maintaining, securing, and improving the organisation’s IT environment, combining hands-on infrastructure support with cyber security-focused projects and technical improvements.
The successful candidate will support Microsoft 365 environments, endpoint management, infrastructure projects, system migrations, and security enhancements, while also acting as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
Key Responsibilities- Support and improve IT infrastructure and end-user environments
- Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint
- Manage endpoint devices, patching, vulnerability remediation, and security compliance
- Implement and maintain MFA, Conditional Access, endpoint protection, and device encryption
- Support infrastructure and security projects including migrations and backup solutions
- Assist with Cyber Essentials / Cyber Essentials Plus compliance and security best practices
- Provide technical escalation support to the Service Desk team
- Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Windows environments
- Experience with Intune, Entra ID, and endpoint management
- Good understanding of networking and IT security best practices
- Experience delivering infrastructure or technical projects
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
- Essential: Experience working with Cyber Essentials / Cyber Essentials Plus controls, compliance, and security standards
