Social Media Marketing Manager in Manchester

Manchester | Hybrid: 1–2 days a week in the office | Occasional travel to London

Are you a social media specialist who loves creating content as much as planning it? We’re working with a business platform that helps people start, manage and grow their companies. Through digital tools, practical guidance and access to services such as funding, banking and insurance, it aims to make running a business simpler.

The team is looking for a Social Marketing Media Manager to grow its audience and bring its story to life. This is a hands‑on role for someone who can spot a good idea, turn it into engaging content and feel equally comfortable behind the camera or presenting in front of it.

What you’ll do

• Plan and deliver social content that builds awareness and engages business owners and founders.
• Create videos from concept to publication, including scripting, filming, presenting and editing.
• Design static posts, carousels and other visual content.
• Develop a consistent voice across social channels while testing new formats and ideas.
• Work with colleagues to turn business topics, product updates and customer stories into clear, useful content.
• Track performance and use what you learn to improve reach and engagement.

What we’re looking for

• Experience managing social media for a brand or business.
• A portfolio showing both video and static content you’ve created.
• Confidence filming and editing video, with a willingness to appear on camera.
• Strong writing skills and an eye for design.
• The initiative to take an idea through to a finished post.

You’ll be based in or able to travel to Manchester for 1–2 office days each week, with occasional trips to London. If you enjoy making content that helps a growing business get noticed, we’d love to hear from you.
