IT Support Engineer (Infrastructure & Azure) My client is seeking a proactive and customerâfocused IT Support Engineer to join their growing digital and IT function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys handsâon technical work, modern cloud technologies, and delivering highâquality support to users across the organisation.About the Role This is a userâfacing, technically varied role that combines dayâtoâday support with Azure and Microsoft 365 administration, endâuser device management, and wider infrastructure responsibilities. You will work closely with colleagues across the business to troubleshoot issues, improve services, and develop a strong understanding of the systems that support daily operations.You\âll support users both faceâtoâface and remotely (via phone and Microsoft Teams), taking ownership of issues through to resolution. The role is hybrid, with some travel to business sites for technical surveys, installations, and onâsite support.Key Responsibilities Provide technical support to users in person, by phone, and via Microsoft TeamsAdminister and support Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and endâuser devicesSupport and maintain Windows desktop environmentsAssist with device deployment using Intune and AutopilotTroubleshoot and maintain networking infrastructure, including basic router and firewall configurationFollow ITIL-aligned processes for incident, problem, and change managementMaintain accurate documentation and contribute to service improvementsCarry out onâsite technical surveys, installations, and support when requiredExperience & Skills Experience in a customerâfacing technical support role (in person and remote)Working knowledge of ITIL principlesStrong communication skills and a customerâservice mindsetAt least 2 years\â experience administering Microsoft Azure, including: Entra ID (Azure AD)IntuneAutopilotMultiâFactor Authentication (MFA)
Solid networking knowledge: IP addressing & subnettingNetwork cable patchingBasic router/firewall configuration
Strong experience supporting Windows desktop environmentsExperience supporting Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365Mobile Device Management (MDM) experienceDesirable Skills Cyber Essentials certification or handsâon experience supporting complianceMicrosoft certifications (Azure, Microsoft 365, Endpoint Management)Experience with telephony setup and administrationExperience with Ubiquiti UniFi networking equipmentExperience supporting Sage Intacct (SaaS finance system)Experience supporting OneTouch Health (SaaS care management system)Interested?
