A leading technology services organisation is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join its growing managed services team. You'll play a key role in monitoring, incident management, backup validation, patching support, and infrastructure administration across both Azure and on-premise platforms.
The Role
- Monitor and manage infrastructure alerts across cloud and on-premise environments
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure incidents
- Manage ticket lifecycles through ITSM processes and SLA targets
- Perform daily backup validation and support remediation activities
- Support monthly patching activities across Windows, Linux, Azure, and VMware estates
- Assist with Azure and VMware virtual machine administration and troubleshooting
- Contribute to operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge sharing
- Participate in a shared on-call rota providing first-response support for critical incidents
What We're Looking For
- Good experience in infrastructure support, ideally within a managed services environment
- Experience using monitoring tools and ITSM platforms
- Good Windows Server administration and troubleshooting skills
- Exposure to VMware vSphere and Microsoft Azure environments
- Understanding of backup technologies and operational support processes
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Knowledge of ITIL-based service management practices
