We’re looking for an experienced On-Premises Kubernetes DevOps Engineer for a company based in Manchester. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with deep experience working with bare-metal Kubernetes in a fast-paced technical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters on bare-metal infrastructure.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure optimal cluster performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Implement best practices for on-premises deployments, including monitoring, upgrades, networking, and security.
- Maintain high-availability infrastructure and contribute to the overall stability of the environment.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong hands-on expertise in Kubernetes on bare-metal (not cloud-based).
- Experience with manual setup tools such as kubeadm, Rancher, or similar.
- In-depth understanding of physical server environments and non-cloud orchestration challenges.
- Ability to advise on and differentiate between cloud-managed Kubernetes (e.g., EKS, AKS, GKE) and on-prem deployments.
