Position Overview: The Managing Director will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the company, ensuring sustained growth and profitability. With a strong background in architecture, ideally complemented by an MBA, the successful candidate will have extensive experience in leading companies of 100+ employees. This role demands a strategic thinker who can navigate the complexities of finance, operations, and legal matters while fostering client relationships and driving business development across multiple sectors and markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the company’s long-term strategic plan, aligning with market trends, client needs, and business objectives.
• Financial Management: Oversee the financial health of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
• Operational Excellence: Optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality across all departments.
• Legal Oversight: Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, mitigating risks and safeguarding the company’s interests.
• Client Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders, driving business development and expanding the company’s market presence.
• Market Expansion: Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities, leveraging experience across different sectors and geographical regions to drive growth.
• Team Leadership: Inspire, mentor, and lead a diverse team of professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

Key Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Managing Director or in a senior leadership role within an architecture company of 100+ employees.
• Background in architecture qualified to RIBA lll, with a deep understanding of design principles and industry practices.
• MBA or equivalent advanced business qualification is highly desirable, but not a prerequisite.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and P&L management.
• In-depth knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks within the architecture and construction industries.
• Track record of success in managing operations, driving business development, and leading cross-functional leadership teams.
• Experience working across multiple sectors and international markets.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel regularly, internationally.
