Top HGV 1 Opportunities with one of the UK's most trusted food retailers. We are looking for HGV 1 drivers to immediately start work at the Co-op in Avonmouth. This site is extremely busy all year round with a wide range of start times available across 7 days each week and offers a lucrative overtime rate for any work over 48 hours. Given the nature of the role, no two days are the same!

If you are a Class 1 HGV driver with at least 2 years of commercial driving experience, do not hesitate to contact us. We can support and fulfil what you are searching for, whether that be for occasional days, part-time hours, weekend work, or a full-time schedule. We can tailor shifts to suit your availability.

Additionally, if you are looking to further advance your skills, when working for the Co-op, on site you will have access to a wealth of industry experience and trainers/managers who are more than happy to support you along the way.

Pay Rates:

  • Mon to Fri Days: £19.30
  • Mon to Fri Nights: £22.20
  • Saturday Days: £20.60
  • Saturday Nights: £22.20
  • Sun/BH Days: £21.63
  • Sun/BH Nights: £22.20
  • Overtime paid after 48 hours (per week) between £25.67 and £29.52 per hour.

All rates are PAYE, and holiday pay is accrued separately. Paid weekly every Friday.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 1 HGV C+E licence
  • Driver CPC and Tachograph Card
  • Minimum 2 years of recent HGV driving experience required
  • No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only).
