Job Requirements of the Engineering Supervisor: In this role you will oversee a multi-skilled maintenance team to ensure safe and efficient operation of all aspects of the business unit. You will maintain plant and equipment within the operational areas, ensuring duties are undertaken of a high standard whilst prioritising safety. You will deliver all aspects of maintenance, statutory compliance, installation and commissioning of new equipment; including the use of key contractors and preferred suppliers. A key function of this role is to work closely with other engineering and operational functions. You will ensure compliance with all company policies and any statutory legislation applicable to the role, with particular regard to our obligations under PUWER, PSSR, COSHH, LOLER, and DSEAR.

Person Requirements of the Engineering Supervisor:

  • Knowledge of DSEAR, PUWER, LOLER, COSHH regulations and risk assessments
  • Previous experience producing Root Cause Analysis and problem solving documentation
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent problem solving skills and experience of Continuous Improvement strategies
  • Hold a minimum of HNC (or equivalent)
  • A good understanding of Mechanical Engineering
