We’re now recruiting reliable and safety-conscious HGV Class 1 drivers for Hanson in Nuneaton, delivering building materials to local builders’ yards. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering a long-term position after a successful initial period. Ideal for drivers who enjoy straightforward work with minimal physical handling.
Pay rates (PAYE):
- Weekdays (06:00–20:00): £15.49
- Weeknights (20:00–06:00): £17.49
- Saturday (06:00–20:00): £20.84
- Sunday & Bank Holidays (06:00–20:00): £24.04
All rates are PAYE, and holiday pay is accrued separately.
About the role:
- Delivering building materials to local builders’ yards.
- Minimal load interaction - you’ll only need to open/close curtains and secure the load.
- Full induction and training provided for a safe and confident start.
- Typical starts around 06:00, with 10–12-hour shifts.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 HGV (C+E) licence
- Driver CPC and Tachograph Card
- Minimum 3 months’ recent Class 1 experience
- No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only)
