The Marketing Operations Specialist plays a critical role in aligning marketing strategies with business objectives, bridging the gap between marketing and other departments, and driving data-driven decision making. This position serves as the backbone of the marketing department, ensuring that marketing strategies are not only effective but also financially sound and efficiently executed. The MOS will report to the Marketing Operation Director and will work closely with various teams to optimize marketing performance and drive growth across international markets.
Core Responsibilities of a Marketing Operations Specialist:
- Manage and administer the marketing technology stack, including marketing automation and analytics tools.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement new marketing technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure seamless data flow and integration between marketing and sales systems.
- Oversee the end-to-end process of marketing campaign execution, from setup and targeting to lead scoring and routing.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and marketing's impact on revenue.
- Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and tracking expenditures.
- Analyze the financial performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives, calculating and reporting on return on investment (ROI).
- Collaborate with the finance team on forecasting, budget allocation, and financial reporting.
- Lead and manage multiple marketing projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement standardized marketing processes and workflows to improve team efficiency and scalability.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between marketing, sales, finance, and other departments to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
- Own the marketing data and analytics function, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and governance.
- Generate regular reports and presentations for senior leadership on marketing performance, budget utilization, and project status.
- Translate complex data into clear and actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making.
- Work closely with sales, finance, IT, and other departments to ensure alignment of marketing goals with company-wide objectives.
- Facilitate communication, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing across teams.

Education and Experience:

- Hands-on experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms.
- Demonstrated financial acumen with experience in budget management and ROI analysis.
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully managing complex projects.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or marketing automation platforms are a plus.
METRICS AND DOCUMENTATION:
- Implement and maintain solid measurements and metrics. Track and analyze metrics demonstrating effectiveness of product launch, capabilities, and related areas e.g., sales performance, attach rates, retention, and units. Align to targets for market penetration with sales (units, segments, etc.) and sales growth.
