JOB PURPOSE:
To provide accurate and timely recording, classification and reporting of accounting transactions. There will be an emphasis on reconciliations, SOX controls, reporting results and recording of routine and non-routine transactions. This role will require an understanding of multiple international entities, matrix structures and statutory & SOX impacts. In addition, the role will require ad hoc analysis and reporting requests.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take a key role in financial accounting for Business Management Software Limited and other UK managed ADP entities and all activities related to the month end close and promotion.
- Responsible for regulatory compliances, VAT returns, preparation of SOX controls and liaison with tax authorities for Business Management Software Limited and assist Accounting Manager on other UK managed ADP entities.
- Responsible for the Cash, bank, loans, Fixed assets and Intercompany & netting reconciliations across all UK Managed entities.
- Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations to a high level with strong support and reasoning for auditors and for internal requirements.
- Prepare and submit audit information to a professional standard for Business Management Software Limited and other UK Managed entities. Work with Accounting Director and Deputy Accounting Director on the statutory audits.
- Prepare UK GAAP trial balance and reconcile financial statements for Business Management Software Limited and assist on accounts preparation for other UK managed ADP entities where required.
- Play a key role in ensuring the Financial accounting for UK managed entities complies with relevant accounting standards.
- Build close working relationships with the rest of the UK Finance team and other key stakeholders including auditors and other external advisors.
- Work across the organisation's matrix structure, providing support to those that need it and obtaining information when it is required.
- Strive for continuous process improvements.
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required by Accounting Director and Deputy Accounting Director.
KEY DUTIES/TASKS:
- Play a key role in the annual audit & month end related tasks for Business Management Software Limited and other UK managed ADP entities.
- Post journals based on well-prepared support and present such support for scrutiny to management and auditors.
- Prepare sound balance sheet reconciliations and support for all UK Managed entities as required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key members of staff and external advisors.

- Accounting Director and Deputy Accounting Director for UK, Ireland and South Africa.
- Financial Accounting team.
- Head of FP&A & Team.
- UK CFO.
WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO HAVE:
Skills:
- Microsoft Office essential (Advanced Excel, Basic Word and PowerPoint).
- Comfortable with large amounts of data.
- Experience with UK GAAP accounting (IFRS will also be considered).
- ERP Oracle and Hyperion Planning experience preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Newly Qualified (ACA/ACCA) or Finalist Accountant would be considered.
- Experience of an international corporate structure and matrix organisation preferred.
