Business Resiliency Planner – Technical Specialist – Staines or Bristol (Hybrid) ADP is hiring a Business Resiliency Planner/Technical Specialist • Are you looking to build a career in Business Resiliency in a global company that offers career advancement opportunities throughout your career journey? • Are you looking to join a global company with a culture of inclusion, collaboration and belonging? In this role, you will be responsible for protecting the organization’s business assets through a Global Business Resiliency Program that establishes a single framework for how ADP manages, and controls risks associated with the recovery from business disruptions and disaster events. You will be involved in providing insight, guidance, and direction on the continued development and effectiveness of the global Business Resiliency Program.
This includes foundational activities such as performing Business Impact Analyses, developing BCPs with the business, and modeling diverse types of exercises. You will leverage your technical skills and expertise developing scripts, APIs, and working with business intelligence and reporting tools and workflow automation. In addition to maintaining our world-class program, you will work with various business teams to coordinate exercises ranging from Plan Walkthroughs to Tabletop Exercises, and integrated testing with stakeholders such as Global Product and Technology (GPT), Crisis Management, and Business Protection & Technology Assurance (BPTA) Teams.
With guidance from management, this role will collaborate with essential business functions to uncover opportunities for improvement and strategic enhancement. Within this role, you will have the opportunity to identify and address areas for improvement – to include areas where innovation and automation will advance ADP’s business resiliency capabilities. You will also train end users on our internal business resiliency systems, processes, and practices.

WHAT YOU’LL DO: • Develop expertise with ADP’s business continuity systems, platforms, tools, and services, including the following activities: configure custom objects, fields, and page layouts; build workflow and approval processes; build formulas and validation rules; build reports & dashboards; build flows and process builders; configure user roles, profiles, record sharing, and security settings • Work with vendors in troubleshooting or addressing issues with BCP tool/software and dev/test environments • Maintain data imports/exports and troubleshoot errors/issues with BCP tools/software • Contributes to developing, implementing, and maintaining business continuity program framework including, but not limited to, Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Plan Walkthrough, and Tabletop Exercising • Responsible for ensuring BC Program governance of Business Resiliency Policy and Standard to ensure compliance with ADP's business continuity requirements • Provides business & technical guidance to the Global Business Resiliency partners; drives engagement and accountability for Business Continuity planning and preparedness by Business Resiliency teams involved in operationalizing and executing what is required under the program. • Become a trusted advisor and contribute to raising operational risk and business resiliency awareness throughout the organization • Provides training and access to business continuity program resources • Work with and facilitate discussions and business continuity planning with the Business and ensure integration of concepts/design for existing and/or new systems, software, applications, and processes critical to services.
Verify that services align with Business expectations • No supervisory responsibilities but provides informal guidance to new team members • Provide 24×7 support for any emergency which may require activation of all or part of Global Business Resiliency plans. In the event BC activation is required, assist recovery/business resumption teams in the implementation of response and alternate operating strategies. If required, this resource would provide support on business resiliency coordination activities TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT or Security • Conceptual and practical expertise in Business Resiliency and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• 2 years of experience with scripting in JavaScript, HTML, SQL, Python, or other languages • Application Programming Interface (API) experience – enabling communication and data sharing across various systems • Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) / machine learning • Strong technical problem-solving skills, preferably including experience with or coursework in relational database design; logic-based programming; enterprise systems analysis and development; object-oriented programming • Ability to be a self-starter; able to work independently and as part of a team, especially remotely • Soft skills to build client rapport and relationships, while maintaining scope, focus, and desired performance • Must possess critical thinking skills to provide consultative solutions • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills; must be able to interface and coordinate work effectively with business leaders; strong project skills • Able to interface and coordinate work efficiently and effectively with business partners and senior level management in remote locations. Team oriented self-starter, with a high degree of initiative • Recognize and deal appropriately with sensitive and confidential information • Detail oriented and can meet inflexible deadlines.
• Possess a mature ability to deal with stress and use sound professional judgment • Solve practical problems and react quickly and calmly to changing or emergency circumstances. • Willing to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. Working hours are based on the working hours of the country assigned.
