Semi Skilled Fitter

Working as part of our Operations team, the successful candidate will carry out a range of semi-skilled fitting activities on engine accessories, supporting the safe, efficient and timely delivery of work within the department. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to develop practical engineering skills while contributing to the repair and overhaul of critical components.

An overview of your day

• Plan and organise your workload effectively, ensuring all activities are carried out in line with company QHSE procedures and standards.
• Carry out the disassembly, assembly, testing and inspection of a range of gas turbine components, including gas pipes, manifolds, fuel filters, blow-off valves (BOVs), starters, gearboxes, burner carriers, lubrication pumps and associated equipment.
• Perform pressure, functional and other required tests in accordance with engineering and quality requirements.
• Support wider strip and build activities across the workshop as required.
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety and environmental compliance at all times.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and Six Sigma projects.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, sharing knowledge and supporting team objectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency and environmental performance.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures and operational requirements.

What we need from you

• Previous experience in a workshop, manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Semi-skilled mechanical fitting experience would be advantageous.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• A strong focus on health, safety and safe working practices.
