We’re looking for a junior to mid-level energy modelling or building physics engineer to join our growing Sustainability team in London. You’ll work across the full project lifecycle, from early concept to construction, helping deliver high-performing, low-carbon buildings for forward-thinking clients. Join us and develop your energy modelling capability while gaining hands-on exposure to our broader sustainability services through live projects, working closely with senior team members to build your technical expertise and professional experience.
Based in our expanding London office, this hybrid role puts you at the heart of a highly collaborative, energetic, multidisciplinary team shaping smarter, healthier buildings and raising the bar for sustainability across the industry.
About You
- 2 to 4 years’ experience in the built environment, ideally within an engineering or sustainability consultancy
- Strong project experience in building physics, energy modelling, and building performance
- Exposure to NABERS and DfP is highly desirable
- Working knowledge of embodied and whole life carbon, including One Click LCA or similar tools, is an advantage
- Solid understanding of UK building regulations, including Part L, and energy modelling tools
- Relevant degree in engineering, building services, environmental design, or similar
- Curious, analytical, and motivated to grow within a multidisciplinary sustainability team
- Right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role
Your Role
As a core member of our Sustainability Consulting team, you’ll support energy and environmental analysis across a range of new build and refurbishment projects, primarily within the private sector. You’ll work closely with our in-house MEP engineers and external project teams. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Part L and wider building regulations compliance modelling
- Assisting with energy and thermal modelling to inform passive and active design strategies
- Contributing to LEED, BREEAM, and WELL assessments from an energy and performance perspective
- Preparing technical reports, calculations, and documentation for planning and certification
