Race Technician in Witham

We are looking for an experienced engineer to bring their knowledge, passion, and drive to the position of Race Technician at ADP Classic Racing. The successful candidate will work on historically significant race cars, providing workshop-based preparation and rebuilds prior to events, and trackside support at high level international historic motorsport events throughout the year.

The role holder will…

• Perform key maintenance and preparation on historically significant race cars, in a cutting-edge workshop environment and during motorsport events.
• Travel to race meetings on select weekends, in the UK and across Europe if required.
• Ensure all work areas are kept clean, tidy, and organised at all times within the workshop or on events, maintaining a consistent professional company profile.
• Be meticulously organised, managing all the records required to maintain and field a successful and competitive race car.
• Work with senior staff to plan and oversee projects to ensure progress is monitored and maintained.
• Work with senior staff to compile project information status reports to clients.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.

• Comfortable delivering a high standard of performance and quality whilst working to strict deadlines in a time-sensitive environment.
• Be a highly-motivated self-starter that is as comfortable working solo as they are collaborating productively within a team.
• A flexible approach to working hours.
• Possess basic fabrication skills (a good understanding of MIG/TIG welding is an advantage but not essential).

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the motorsport sector, Historic motorsport sector preferred.

Salary: Up to £44,200 subject to skills and experience.

Shift Information: Monday to Friday, 8am until 5.30pm.
