We are recruiting for an Implementation/Functional Consultant in any of our UK offices - Milton Keynes, Staines, Bristol or Cheadle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The WorkForce Software (WFS) Implementation Department is responsible for delivering high-quality, on-time, and scalable implementations of WFS solutions across our global client portfolio. We are involved with the full life cycle from sales engagement to successful delivery and implementation of WFS products. Our department's mission is to ensure clients achieve measurable value quickly, supported by consistent methodology, strong governance, and technically skilled project teams.

  • Plan: Participate in project planning, kickoff activities, and implementation readiness discussions. Partner with project managers and stakeholders to establish project goals, timelines, and delivery expectations. Provide effort estimates, status updates, and risk identification throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build: Work with WorkForce Software Technical Consultants to ensure that the solution build meets the requirements of the customer and enables efficient end-user processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integrations, solution demonstrations, and project deliverables. Ensure implementation activities adhere to established methodologies, standards, and documentation requirements.
  • Validate: Partner with customers and internal teams to support solution testing, defect resolution, and validation activities. Investigate and troubleshoot issues identified during testing and coordinate resolution with appropriate stakeholders. Support customer readiness by delivering administrator training and facilitating solution reviews.
  • Deploy: Assist with data migration, system deployment, go-live preparation, and production transition activities. Deliver customer training and support adoption of implemented solutions. Manage customer communications and expectations to ensure a successful implementation experience. Identify opportunities to improve implementation practices, customer outcomes, and product capabilities.

PRODUCT / TECHNICAL SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-4 years experience in software implementations.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills with a strong emphasis on Excel.
  • Understand waterfall and agile methodologies, frameworks, and practices in a services delivery role.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset required, as the role requires capability of rapidly shifting focus and responding to ever-changing conditions.
  • Knowledgeable of and understand common implementation principles and lifecycle.
  • Experience in implementing or training on a packaged software system or highly complex internally developed application.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with, or background in HR, Payroll, or Workforce Management/Time and Attendance modules, considered a bonus.
  • Experience providing application support for complex software systems, preferred.
  • Experience or ability to read/write SQL and write simple queries.

PERFORMANCE SCORECARD

The WorkForce Software Implementation Services Functional Consultant is expected to independently manage overall workload in accordance with ADP's Service Excellence standard and ensure timeliness and communications with clients are met based on client's Service Level Agreement with ADP.
