We are seeking a Chartered Architectural Technologist or Technical Architect to join our London team. At ADP, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills in a chosen sector or as an all‑rounder, working with our cross‑practice specialists in sectors including residential, commercial, healthcare and education design. You’ll also be able to work on projects that truly benefit their communities, from large laboratory buildings to mixed‑use developments, sensitive refurbishments to envelope‑pushing new builds, £100m high‑profile schemes to local grassroots projects.

The Role

  • Assisting with the technical design elements of projects.
  • Producing effective, coordinated, efficient and compliant technical design solutions that are delivered to the standards we aspire to and achieve our shared SBE vision.
  • Obtaining and maintaining detailed knowledge of current legislation, regulations and standards.
  • Obtaining and maintaining detailed knowledge of modern methods of construction.
  • Ensuring that all work is prepared in accordance with the practice’s BIM standards and protocols and maintaining a detailed knowledge of BIM processes and software associated with design.
  • Ensuring that the service is delivered in accordance with the quality management system.
  • Ensure our work is purpose driven, through Sustainability Belonging and Engagement to create more joy in our projects and workplace.
  • Ensuring that design solutions are of the highest possible standard consistent with the client’s brief and the practice’s design philosophy, that sustainability is a given and opportunities are maximised.
  • Be involved in identifying and implementing continual improvement to develop and improve the practices procedures/methods.
  • Undertaking suitable Continuing Professional Development and training to maintain an up to date knowledge of design standards and regulations within the industry.
  • Ensuring that all work is prepared in accordance with the practice’s Quality Management System requirements.
  • Ensuring that the project briefs and RIBA Plan of Work is fully understood and maintain awareness of the implications of the current legislation and standards we must work to.
  • Consider CDM and health and safety in all our design work, and work to design out and minimise risk.
  • Knowledge of the Building Safety Act and Gateway would be an advantage.

Main softwares used is Revit, NBS Chorus and Enscape.
