We are currently looking for a Plant Operative (Fuel Industry) to work in Sandford-le-Hope. The role will involve executing the daily blending plan as set out by the production planning and logistics schedule and ensuring that all activities are conducted in a safe manner, following company processes and quality standards. Work will be based outside.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site operations, dealing with tanker receipts and despatches
- Blending and product movement operations
- Housekeeping standards including waste fuel handling and general tidiness
- Stock rotation
- Equipment checks and reporting any malfunctions or product inconsistencies
- Working with the team leader to execute daily and weekly blending plans
- Responding to blending issues
- Assisting in other scheduled and ad-hoc activities to ensure smooth site operation
- Participating in continuous improvement and safety initiatives
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a manufacturing, chemical, or fuel-related environment, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to operate industrial machinery. Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., COSHH, COMAH), good attention to detail, and commitment to product quality are essential. Due to the location of the site, own transport will be required. Work will be based outside in the yard.
Rotating 3-weekly shift pattern:
- Morning Shift: 5am to 1.30pm
- Afternoon Shift: 1pm to 9.30pm
- Night Shift: 9pm to 5.30am
Salary: £37k + Bonus
