The Role
As a Sales & Development Executive, you’ll be a key part of the growth strategy—responsible for identifying and securing new business across all transport modes. You’ll play a hands-on role in both office-based and client-facing activities to build strong, profitable relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively generate new business leads and convert sales opportunities
- Grow sales across FCL/LCL sea freight, air freight, and road freight (imports and exports)
- Collaborate with the Sales and Operations teams to develop leads and nurture accounts
- Visit clients and attend meetings as part of a flexible, field-based approach
- Prepare accurate and professional quotations, including all necessary terms and conditions
- Maintain a high standard of customer service and relationship management
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of freight sales experience (sea, air, and road)
- Proven success in sales and business development within freight forwarding
- Strong understanding of global logistics and supply chain operations
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- High attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Friendly, approachable, and motivated personality
- A collaborative team player with strong English and maths skills
- (Desirable) Existing transferable business contacts or client portfolio
