We're looking for an experienced Transport Operator to join our client, a busy and growing container haulage operation based at London Gateway.
You'll be responsible for planning daily transport operations, allocating work to drivers, liaising with customers and drivers, and ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time.
What we're looking for:
- Previous UK container haulage experience is essential.
- Experience using the London Gateway Vehicle Booking System (VBS) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Fargo TOPS or a similar Transport Management System.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Good IT skills, including Outlook and Excel.
- The ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable:
- Transport Manager CPC qualification.
- Knowledge of UK drivers' hours and transport compliance.
- Experience working with other UK container ports, including Felixstowe and Southampton.
Hours:
Monday to Friday. Fixed 10-hour shifts (4am-2pm or 8am-6pm). Participation in a shared weekend and Bank Holiday on-call rota is required.
