Job Description CNC Miller / Setter / Operator Precision Aerospace Engineering Permanent Position Modern CNC machining. An established precision engineering business is expanding its machining team following continued growth and increasing customer demand. They’re looking for an experienced CNC Miller / Setter / Operator to join a technically strong manufacturing environment, producing complex, high-precision aerospace components in a low-to-medium batch setting. This is a hands-on machining role for someone who enjoys setting, proving and producing quality components — not simply loading and unloading machines. You’ll be responsible for taking components from setup through to finished part, working to tight engineering tolerances and maintaining consistently high standards of quality. Set, operate and prove out CNC milling machines Machine complex components from engineering drawings Work to demanding aerospace-level tolerances and specifications Carry out first-off and in-process inspection Monitor tool condition, machine performance and component quality Complete production, inspection and quality documentation Proven experience as a CNC Miller / Setter / Operator Experience with Fanuc, Heidenhain or similar CNC controls Good knowledge of tooling, workholding, offsets and machining techniques Confident setting machines and producing components to specification Experience within aerospace or precision engineering is highly advantageous A genuine focus on quality, accuracy and getting the job right first time This isn’t high-volume production where you’re running the same component all day. You’ll be working on varied, technically challenging components, using modern CNC machinery within a precision engineering environment where your machining ability actually matters. Competitive salary Overtime opportunities Flexible working arrangements Modern CNC machining environment Long-term opportunity within an established and growing engineering business If you’re a CNC Miller who wants to work on complex components, tight tolerances and genuinely interesting engineering, this could be a very strong next move.
