Location: Commercial & Retail Sites across Hemel Hempstead, Watford, Uxbridge, St Albans (and surrounding areas as required)
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 basic (40-hour week) £50,000 – £60,000 achievable with overtime. Overtime paid at Time & a Half / Double Time.
The Opportunity: We’re a rapidly expanding facilities maintenance company looking for a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our growing team. You’ll be working across high-profile retail and hospitality clients, delivering essential reactive maintenance while enjoying excellent earning potential and long-term career progression. This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and being trusted to get the job done right.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Responding to reactive electrical call-outs within agreed SLAs and KPIs
- Fault finding, diagnostics, repairs and first-time fixes
- Logging job details accurately on handheld device applications
- Working independently while supporting the wider engineering team
- Communicating confidently with clients and colleagues
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, compliantly and to regulation
- Taking a proactive approach to Health & Safety at all times
What We’re Looking For:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition – essential
- Experience in testing & installation
- Comfortable working at height
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Flexible approach with willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends
Desirable (but not essential): IPAF / MEWP qualifications – training can be provided.
Working Hours: 40 hours per week + travel time. Out-of-hours availability on an agreed on-call rota.
