The Opportunity:
This isn’t just another night manager job. You’ll be the go-to person when it matters most - ensuring vehicles are where they need to be, problems are solved quickly, and the team is fully supported. You’ll manage a busy shift, oversee a fleet of vehicle movements, and liaise directly with drivers, teams, and clients to keep everything on track.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Managing a team of drivers and overnight staff - including scheduling, task allocation, and support
- Handling breakdowns, changes, and urgent issues with calm, clear direction
- Ensuring all safety and compliance procedures are followed to the letter
- Communicating with clients to keep them updated and reassured
- Completing detailed reports, logs, and handovers for seamless transitions
- Playing a key role in recruitment, training, and performance reviews for your team
What You Bring:
- A solid background in transport/logistics - ideally in a night-based role
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of driver regulations (CPC a bonus)
