My client is launching an exciting new consumer exhibition and is looking for a driven Commercial Manager to take ownership of the commercial strategy, lead a high-performing sales team and maximise sponsorship and exhibition revenue.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in launching a major consumer event, building commercial partnerships and driving revenue through sponsorship, exhibition space and experiential activations.

You'll work closely with senior leadership, marketing, operations and content teams to deliver an outstanding exhibitor and sponsor experience from initial sale through to event delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and develop a commercial sales team.
  • Drive sponsorship, partnership and exhibition sales.
  • Generate new business and build long-term client relationships.
  • Develop compelling commercial proposals and bespoke partnership packages.
  • Monitor pipelines, forecasts and team performance.
  • Conduct coaching, one‑to‑ones and performance reviews.
  • Work cross‑functionally to deliver successful commercial campaigns.
  • Analyse sales performance, pricing and market trends.
  • Represent the business at industry events and networking opportunities.

About You

You'll have

  • Proven experience in exhibition, event sponsorship or commercial sales.
  • A strong track record of exceeding revenue targets.
  • Previous experience leading and developing successful sales teams.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing high‑value accounts and strategic partnerships.
  • A proactive, commercially driven approach with excellent relationship‑building skills.

Experience within consumer events, lifestyle, interiors or home improvement sectors would be advantageous but is not essential.
