HR Administrator Location: Laindon, Basildon (Driver essential)

Salary: £26,247

Hours: 8:00am – 4:15pm (37.5 hours per week)

Working Pattern: 4 days in the office / 1 day working from home

Contract: 6-month Fixed Term

You’ll play a key role in supporting day-to-day HR operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing return-to-work documentation, including inputting, tracking and follow-ups
  • Maintaining and auditing SharePoint to ensure accuracy and accessibility
  • Checking invoices and handling reporting with attention to detail
  • Supporting HR processes for both hourly and salaried employees
  • Reviewing settlement agreement invoices
  • Producing clear absence reports and professional presentations
  • Providing team cover, including inputting EADs and sickness certificates
  • Keeping sickness absence trackers up to date
  • Coordinating Long Service Award administration
  • Supporting the wider HR team with general administrative tasks

About you:

  • Confident using Excel, Word and Outlook, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Demonstrable experience working in a busy office environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation abilities
  • Able to remain calm and efficient under pressure
  • Proactive, detail-focused and takes initiative
  • A positive team player with a collaborative approach
