This is a varied, hands-on role that involves both forklift operation and manual yard duties. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering excellent customer service, we'd like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- Loading and unloading vehicles using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck.
- Accurately picking, packing, and preparing customer orders.
- Assisting customers with collections in a friendly and professional manner.
- Organising, moving, and maintaining stock within the yard.
- Carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting duties.
- Keeping the yard clean, tidy, safe, and well organised.
- Supporting the team with general yard and warehouse duties as required.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (essential).
- Previous experience working in a yard, warehouse, builders' merchant, or similar environment.
- A good level of physical fitness and the ability to carry out manual handling tasks.
- A positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- A reliable, punctual, and safety-focused approach to work.
