Operating across commercial fit-out, refurbishment and full construction projects, this contractor has built a strong reputation for quality, reliability and repeat business. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple projects and support the next phase of expansion.
The ideal candidate will have either formal construction/building qualifications or strong practical experience gained within the commercial construction sector. A solid understanding of building methods, trades, project delivery and modern construction techniques is essential.
As Contracts Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple projects from pre-construction through to completion and final account. You will work closely with clients, subcontractors and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest standards. This position would also suit a Senior Project Manager ready to progress into a Contracts Management role.
Key Responsibilities- Managing multiple construction and refurbishment projects simultaneously
- Ensuring projects are delivered profitably and to a high standard
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Conducting site visits, pricing works and assisting with estimates
- Monitoring project progress, quality and programme performance
- Carrying out health & safety inspections and ensuring compliance
- Ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
- Previous experience within commercial construction
- Strong commercial and operational awareness
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors effectively
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Health & Safety management experience
- IT literate, including Microsoft Office and project management systems
