A leading UK purchasing and supply chain organisation is looking for an experienced Butchery Sales Manager to drive growth across the South West region, focusing on the independent hospitality, foodservice, and retail sectors. This role offers the opportunity to work with a large network of suppliers and customers, helping businesses reduce costs, improve purchasing efficiency, and maximise value within their fresh meat and butchery categories. You will be responsible for developing relationships with both customers and suppliers, identifying commercial opportunities, and delivering strong category performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the butchery and fresh meat category across a portfolio of customers.
- Build strong relationships with independent butchers, hospitality venues, and foodservice operators.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, margin improvement, and volume growth.
- Develop and implement regional sales and growth plans.
- Conduct regular customer visits and account reviews.
- Negotiate with suppliers and support tender processes where required.
