Senior Restoration Technician – Water Damage Watford | Field-Based London & South East £36,000 – £40,000 + Overtime + Bonus + Company Vehicle We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Restoration Technician to manage fire and water damage restoration projects across London and the South East. This is a hands-on role for someone who can independently manage a drying programme, lead technicians on site and deal confidently with policyholders, insurers and loss adjusters. Key Responsibilities * Manage drying programmes from assessment through to validated dry * Complete moisture mapping and moisture measurements * Design, install and monitor drying equipment * Apply knowledge of psychrometry and structural drying * Manage fire and water restoration projects * Oversee strip-out, cleaning and mitigation works * Lead technicians on site * Mentor junior and less experienced technicians * Make technical decisions and escalate complex issues * Liaise with policyholders, insurers and loss adjusters * Complete reports, readings, photographs and job records * Maintain health & safety standards Essential Experience * Proven experience in fire and/or water damage restoration * Experience running restoration/drying jobs * Knowledge of psychrometry * Experience with drying equipment * Strong understanding of moisture measurement and mapping * Experience supervising or guiding technicians * Good knowledge of insurance restoration/claims Full UK driving licence required. You must be based within approximately one hour of Watford. BDMA / IICRC WRT, ASD or FSRT / CSCS / IOSH would be advantageous. Package £36,000 – £40,000 + overtime + bonus + company vehicle.
