Job Description
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join a busy warehouse operation.
You will supervise the warehouse team on a daily basis, allocate workloads and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards.
You will also take responsibility for the warehouse in the absence of the Warehouse Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and motivate the warehouse team.
- Allocate daily workloads and monitor performance.
- Ensure SOPs, Health & Safety and security procedures are followed.
- Monitor KPIs, productivity and warehouse accuracy.
- Ensure paperwork and records are completed correctly.
- Support recruitment, induction and staff training.
- Deal with performance and development issues.
- Report equipment faults, incidents and maintenance requirements.
- Maintain good housekeeping and efficient warehouse practices.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Manager and cover in their absence.
About You
- Previous Warehouse Supervisor/Team Leader experience.
- Strong warehouse or logistics background.
- Confident people-management and communication skills.
- Organised, proactive and able to work under pressure.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety.
- Experience working to KPIs and operational targets.
- Good IT skills, particularly Outlook and Excel.
- A hands-on approach and ability to lead by example.
Flexibility is required to work additional hours or shifts when operationally necessary.
