We’re partnered with an established aerospace precision engineering business based in Romford, manufacturing high‑quality components for the aerospace sector.
Due to continued growth, they’re looking for an experienced Fine Limit Sheet Metal Worker to join their fabrication team.
This is a high‑precision fabrication role for someone who takes real pride in their workmanship and is comfortable working to tight dimensional tolerances and demanding cosmetic standards.
You’ll be working with aerospace‑grade materials and producing complex sheet metal components where accuracy, finish and attention to detail are critical.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for manufacturing, forming and assembling fine‑limit sheet metal components, working from engineering drawings and technical instructions to ensure every component meets the required specification.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manufacturing and assembling finelimit aerospace sheet metal components
- Working from complex engineering drawings, patterns and technical instructions
- Forming, bending and shaping aerospacegrade materials
- Carrying out drilling, riveting, fitting and assembly operations
- Producing components to tight dimensional tolerances
- Ensuring finished components meet required visual and cosmetic standards
- Carrying out detailed finishing and preparation work
- Maintaining accurate job records and supporting full traceability
- Working closely with Engineering, Quality and Production teams
- Identifying and resolving fabrication issues where required
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Fine Limit Sheet Metal Worker
- Strong aerospace sheet metal fabrication experience
- Experience working with aluminium, stainless steel, titanium and other aerospace materials
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings
- Strong manual dexterity and fabrication skills
- Experience working to tight tolerancesExcellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Knowledge of aerospace fabrication and assembly techniques
- High standards of quality and finish
- Experience within another highspecification or precision manufacturing environment may also be considered where the relevant fine-limit fabrication skills are transferable.
