We’re looking for a hungry, consultative Business Development Manager / Sales Manager to take full ownership of new business within a fast-growing, technology-led facilities management environment. This is not a transactional sales role — you’ll be building long-term partnerships, engaging senior stakeholders, and designing tailored FM solutions for multi-site clients.
You’ll:
- Own the full 360° sales cycle
- Build your own pipeline from scratch
- Work collaboratively with senior leadership and operations teams
- Play a key role in defining growth strategy
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & New Business
- Generate new opportunities through outreach, networking, referrals and events
- Own the full sales process from prospecting through to close
- Build strong relationships with senior decision-makers (FDs, COOs, Property Directors)
- Consultative Selling
- Understand client challenges and design bespoke FM solutions
- Deliver high-quality proposals, presentations and client demos
- Position the business as a trusted advisor
- Pipeline & Performance
- Build, manage, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
- Ensure accurate CRM tracking and forecasting
- Report regularly on pipeline activity and performance
- Commercial & Tender Management
- Lead RFPs, tenders and bid submissions end to end
- Collaborate with operational teams on service design
- Negotiate contracts with a focus on long-term value and margin
What We’re Looking For
- Essential
- 5+ years’ B2B sales experience (FM, building services, or commercial real estate)
- Proven track record of winning multi-site FM contracts
- Strong commercial acumen (pricing, margin management, negotiation)
- Confident working with senior stakeholders
- Self-starter with the ability to build pipeline independently
- Experience managing tenders and structured bid processes
- Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel
- Desirable
- Experience selling FM technology or service platforms
- Existing network within hospitality, retail, or workplace sectors
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior sales professionals
