We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Commercial Buyer to join a growing business within the foodservice sector. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong buying and commercial sales experience who understands the fast-paced nature of foodservice, wholesale, or FMCG environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving profitability, managing supplier relationships, and identifying commercial growth opportunities across the business.

The Role

This is a hands-on commercial role combining strategic purchasing, supplier negotiation, and commercial account management. You will be responsible for sourcing products, negotiating the best commercial terms, supporting sales growth, and helping maximise overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the procurement and sourcing of foodservice products
  • Negotiate pricing, rebates, promotions, and supplier agreements
  • Build and maintain strong supplier and customer relationships
  • Identify opportunities to improve margins and drive sales growth
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, and competitor activity
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure stock availability and commercial efficiency

About You

  • Previous experience in a Senior Buyer, Commercial Buyer, Procurement, or Commercial Management role
  • Strong buying and selling/commercial experience
  • Background within foodservice, wholesale, catering supply, or FMCG
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Commercially aware with strong analytical ability
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
