We're recruiting on behalf of a market-leading roofing manufacturer for an experienced Technical Surveyor / Technical Manager to join their growing technical team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being out on site, carrying out inspections, solving technical challenges and working closely with contractors to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards. If you have experience carrying out site inspections, condition surveys, writing specifications and supporting contractors across commercial roofing projects, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
You'll play a key role in providing technical expertise across the region, carrying out surveys, inspections and technical support on a wide range of roofing projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out site inspections across commercial roofing projects
- Completing condition surveys and site surveys
- Producing detailed technical reports and specifications
- Conducting quality assurance (QA) inspections throughout project delivery
- Identifying roofing defects and recommending suitable remedial solutions
- Providing technical support and guidance to roofing contractors
- Liaising with contractors, consultants, architects and clients
- Ensuring projects comply with current building regulations and industry standards
- Acting as the technical expert for your territory
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who has a strong technical understanding of roofing systems and enjoys being on-site rather than office based. You will ideally have experience with:
- Site inspections
- QA inspections
- Condition surveys
- Site surveys
- Writing roofing specifications
- Producing technical reports
- Contractor liaison
- Roofing defect diagnosis
- Commercial roofing projects
Highly Desirable
- Flat roofing experience (single ply, built-up felt, liquid roofing, bituminous or similar systems)
- Experience working for a roofing manufacturer, roofing contractor or building envelope specialist
- Knowledge of roofing specifications and compliance
- Understanding of current building regulations and industry standards

You'll be a technically minded professional who enjoys problem-solving and building strong relationships with contractors and customers. You'll also have:
