A major automotive group is expanding its Southend operation and is looking for Vehicle Technicians and Semi-Skilled Technicians (Level 3 qualified) to join a growing manufacturer-backed workshop. This is not a repetitive fast-fit role. You’ll be working within a modern franchised environment carrying out servicing, diagnostics, warranty repairs, maintenance and fault finding on a busy and expanding passenger car operation. The business is investing heavily in its technical team, equipment and manufacturer training programme, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career and significantly increase earnings.
What you’ll be doing:
- Service, maintain and repair customer vehicles
- Carry out diagnostics and fault-finding using manufacturer equipment
- Complete warranty repairs in line with manufacturer procedures
- Perform mechanical, electrical and general workshop repairs
- Ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Work closely with the workshop and service teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes
What we’re looking for:
- NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic or Semi-Skilled Technician
- Good understanding of diagnostics and modern vehicle systems
- Experience with warranty procedures is highly desirable
- MOT Tester would be an advantage, but not essential
- Full UK manual driving licence (max 3 points)
