Adore Recruitment are currently working on behalf of a well-established principal contractor within the commercial construction sector to recruit a Document Controller & Compliance Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and detail-driven individual to take ownership of document control processes while supporting compliance and project administration across multiple live sites.
The Role
As Document Controller & Compliance Administrator, you will play a key role in managing, controlling, and maintaining all project and compliance documentation, ensuring accuracy, version control, and timely distribution across the business and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of project documentation across multiple sites, ensuring all documents are uploaded, organised, and maintained using Adobe PDF systems and internal platforms.
- You will ensure documentation is correctly formatted, reviewed, and issued, while maintaining strict version control and accurate document tracking.
- The role will involve distributing drawings, RAMS, and site documentation to relevant stakeholders, as well as archiving records in line with company procedures and audit requirements.
- You will also support compliance and Health & Safety by maintaining documentation including RAMS, policies, and procedures, ensuring contractor compliance records are complete and up to date, and liaising with contractors and clients to obtain required documentation.
- You will manage DBS checks for staff and subcontractors and maintain Constructionline and accreditation records.
- In addition, you will manage training and competency records by maintaining the company training matrix, tracking certifications and expiry dates, and coordinating training and refresher courses.
- The role will also involve providing general administrative and project support, assisting site teams with documentation, supporting audits and compliance checks, maintaining company policies and procedures, and assisting with day-to-day operational administration.
About You
You will have previous experience as a Document Controller or within construction administration or compliance, with a strong understanding of document control processes in a construction environment. You will be highly organised with excellent attention to detail, confident using Adobe, Excel, and document management systems, and possess strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders. You will be capable of managing multiple deadlines and prioritising your workload effectively.
Desirable
Experience working with Constructionline or similar accreditation platforms would be beneficial, along with knowledge of construction Health & Safety legislation and experience managing training matrices or competency records.
