HR Administrator - 6 month contract

Location: Laindon, Basildon (Driver essential)

Salary: £26,247

Hours: 8:00am – 4:15pm (37.5 hours per week)

Working Pattern: 4 days office / 1 day working from home

Contract: 6-month Fixed Term

This is more than just admin; you’ll be at the heart of HR operations, playing a key role in keeping everything on track.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing return-to-work documentation from input through to tracking and follow-up
  • Maintaining and auditing SharePoint to keep information accurate and accessible
  • Checking invoices and handling reporting with precision
  • Supporting HR processes across both hourly and salaried employees
  • Reviewing settlement agreement invoices
  • Producing clear absence reports and professional presentation slides
  • Providing cover for colleagues, including inputting EADs and sickness certificates
  • Updating sickness absence trackers
  • Coordinating Long Service Award administration
  • Delivering additional day-to-day HR administrative support

What we’re looking for:

  • Confident using Excel, Word and Outlook, with the ability to pick up systems quickly
  • Experience working in a busy office environment is essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and meet deadlines
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with great attention to detail
