Do you have experience with metal roofing and want to take the next step in your career? I'm working with a leading international roofing and building solutions company that is looking for someone with a background in metal roofing to join its growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who understands metal roofing systems and wants to develop their career further. You don't need to be an experienced salesperson or already working at management level. The company is happy to consider a junior candidate with the right technical knowledge and provide training to help them progress into a technical sales position.
The Role
Working across an assigned territory, you'll help develop business opportunities, build customer relationships and promote specialist roofing solutions to commercial and industrial clients. You'll receive support and training to develop your technical and commercial skills, with the opportunity to take ownership of your territory and grow your career.
Responsibilities will include:
- Developing relationships with contractors, specifiers, architects and commercial customers.
- Identifying new business opportunities and developing existing accounts.
- Understanding customer requirements and helping identify suitable roofing solutions.
- Supporting projects from initial enquiry through to proposal and follow-up.
- Visiting customers and sites to understand project requirements.
- Managing your territory and working towards agreed business targets.
- Building your knowledge of specialist roofing products and systems.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience or a good technical understanding of metal roofing systems.
- Knowledge gained through roofing installation, surveying, estimating, design, project management, technical support or a related role.
- A genuine interest in developing your knowledge and progressing your career.
Desirable, but not essential:
- Previous sales, account management or business development experience.
- Experience working with roofing contractors, manufacturers or construction professionals.
- Knowledge of roofing specifications and commercial construction projects.
You could be an experienced roofing professional looking for a new direction, a technically minded candidate wanting to move into sales, or someone earlier in their career who is keen to learn.
