We are looking for experienced self-employed therapeutic social workers to work on a sessional basis for the Centre for Fostering and Adoption Support (CFAS), which is part of the Adoption Matters and Foster Care Matters family.
Location: Home based with online working and travel to families for sessions where required. We are particularly looking for social workers in the following areas: Liverpool, St Helens, Warrington and Manchester.
This is a great opportunity for a self-employed social worker to work with the Centre for Fostering and Adoption Team providing specialist advice and therapeutic parenting support to adoptive families. Experience of working in adoption is essential alongside skills and training to support therapeutic parenting and direct work with children who have experienced loss and trauma in their early lives.
Applicants must be self-motivated, with the ability to work to deadlines and be able to work flexibly in meeting the needs of CFAS service users. Significant experience in post-adoption therapeutic work with families is essential. Willingness to support delivery into education provision, working with schools to support children with complex needs.
This self-employed role requires a Diploma in Social Work, CQSW or equivalent. Registered with Social Work England.
Adoption Matters is a registered children's charity and one of the largest voluntary adoption agencies (VAAs) in the UK. We recruit, train, and support individuals and families as adopters and offer them ongoing support and training for as long as they need it.
