We are looking for experienced Form F Assessors to work on a sessional basis as we develop our brand-new fostering agency, Foster Care Matters.
Do you have extensive experience in fostering? Do you have an understanding of therapeutic parenting and the importance of foster parents developing their skills in this area to support children in their care to recover from their pre-placement experiences? Are you experienced in completing comprehensive and analytical Form F assessments? Are you able to be flexible to complete Form F assessment sessions during evenings and weekends where required? Are you able to work to deadlines set to ensure work is completed and any amendments are addressed in a timely manner to avoid delays in presentation to Panel?
Location: North West & Stoke-on-Trent
Pay: The rate will be £2,000 for a full assessment including attendance at supervision session and panel.
This Fostering Assessment will be completed and sent in its entirety by the Assessor to the Panel Administrator on the requested date. The Agency requires that the completed Fostering Assessment will be fully checked by the Assessor and ready for Panel, including scrutiny by the applicants with their signatures and comments at the end of Section B. It is the responsibility of the Assessor to ensure that the Assessment is grammatically correct, has clear evidence for the recommendation, and sets out the analysis of the information gained throughout the assessment. It is important that the Assessor seeks the evidence and verification of assertions made by the applicants.
Foster Care Matters is a relatively new fostering agency with a therapeutic emphasis, which is being set up as part of the Adoption Matters family. We will assess, train, approve and support foster families and the children placed with them in conjunction with our Centre for Fostering and Adoption Support (CFAS).
Adoption Matters is a registered children's charity and one of the largest voluntary adoption agencies (VAAs) in the UK. We recruit, train, and support individuals and families as adopters and offer them ongoing support and training for as long as they need it. We also provide support to birth families and adopted adults. Ofsted 'Outstanding' since 2008, the ONLY adoption service in the North of England rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted 5 times in a row.
This self-employed role requires a Diploma in Social Work, CQSW or equivalent. Registered with Social Work England.
