Adopter is a B Corp-certified B2B marketing agency that works exclusively with deep tech and climate adaptation companies. Founded in 2021 and UK-based with a team working across Europe, the agency operates as an embedded marketing team for clients in the UK, Europe, the US, and India. Adopter specialises in four sectors - biotechnology, nature finance, built environment, and energy tech - and provides strategy and messaging, website design and development, LinkedIn and social media management, brand and design, and account-based marketing campaigns. Over the last 5 years, we have supported over 130 deep tech and climate adaptation companies, from pre-seed startups through to Series B, as well as international development organisations.
Due to continued client growth and an increasing volume of project work, we are now looking to recruit an additional Account Manager to join our committed and enthusiastic team of marketing experts. Depending on your level of experience, you'll start off by working closely with our existing Account Managers to support on account delivery and generating high quality marketing and communications materials. Within 6-9 months, we'd like you to start running client accounts of your own, end to end.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Strategic oversight of client’s marketing, including building and running marketing funnels that deliver material commercial results.
- Account management (coordinating a team to deliver work, communicating with clients and delivery work).
- Creating content (long form, social and short form content).
- Content research, ideas and managing client pipelines.
- Managing graphic designers to develop visuals for social media.
- Innovating in your role, testing new tools and processes and sharing learnings with the rest of the team.
- Building strong relationships with our clients which support long term work together, including upselling and cross-selling additional services.
Experience we need from you:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a marketing or commercial role.
- Great with people (clients + team).
- Excellent customer service.
- Very organised.
- Good at coordinating people.
- Excellent content creation and writing skills.
- High standard of knowledge and excellent research skills.
Experience we'd love you to have (preferred):
- Sales and relationship building.
- Knowledge of Figma.
- Knowledge of GEO and SEO.
- Knowledge of LinkedIn and other B2B channels.
- Marketing experience getting new technologies into B2B markets like construction, finance, biotech and energy.
- Science or technical professional or educational (undergraduate degree minimum) background.
- Experience working with new innovations / scaling startups, in climate policy or for a VC/ family office/ angel syndicate with a relevant personal network.
- AI wizard who loves experimenting. Teach us something we don’t know that would create genuine material value.
