The Swan is Adnams' flagship hotel, and we are proud to have been awarded the prestigious AA 4 Red star recognising our hotel as one of the very best in the country. In addition, we have been awarded two Rosettes for our amazing food in our beautiful restaurant. Perfectly located on Southwold Marketplace and just minutes' walk from the stunning Southwold beach, this is the ultimate location to work.
You will oversee The Still Room at The Swan Hotel, which is the very pinnacle of dining in Southwold. The restaurant comprises a 48-seater main restaurant, Copper House spirits and cocktail bar, wine room and 16-seater private dining room. As well as The Tap room & Courtyard, comprising of 80 seats in total during peak months offering small plates and a wide selection of drinks.

What are we looking for? Overseeing breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner over multiple outlets throughout the year, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of exemplary service from across your serving team. As our restaurant manager, you will ideally have similar experience working within a fast-paced environment and a good knowledge of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails. We provide continual and extensive product training from the wider Adnams teams, given our brewing, distillery and wine heritage. Excellent communication, time-keeping and organisational skills are essential, as well as a clear, fair and empathetic leadership style that matches the core people values that we uphold at Adnams. An ability to teach, motivate, develop and inspire others is crucial, celebrating successes and taking pride in all we do.
