Job Description

Commis Chef - The Sole Bay
The Sole Bay is nestled in the corner of East Green, tucked right underneath the iconic Southwold lighthouse and overlooks our Brewery and Distillery. A perfect location with only the beach a minutes' walk away.
We serve a seaside inspired menu with lots of local seafood and pub classics and showcase an array of cask beers, kegged and bottled beers.
We are looking for a Commis Chef to join our team who is looking to make their first step on the Chef career ladder.

What are we looking for in our Commis Chef:
As our Commis Chef, you will be responsible for food preparation and will genuinely care about the quality of food you prepare, supporting all kitchen sections with a good understanding of knife skills is important. You will ensure kitchen stations are clean and will learn about hygiene regulations and practices. Stock rotation is key and you will work with our talented senior chefs to ensure all food is correctly rotated and stored.
This is a pivotal role within the kitchen brigade, and you will be someone who enjoys using local produce and will consistently deliver high standards.
The ideal candidate may have some experience already in a kitchen, or recently completed or undertaking formal training.
You must be able to work under pressure, have great communication skills and be a team player to work in conjunction with our Front of House Team to ensure our guests stay is always memorable.
The Sole Bay operates 7 days a week so a level of flexibility is required to assist in weekend work.

Pay rates
21+ = £12.21 per hour
18 - 20's = £11.77 per hour
Under 18's = £9.77 per hour
