Your experience

  • You have relevant experience in a buying role within ambient food and drink categories.
  • Exposure to and experience of travel retail and/or airline experience would be very desirable.
  • You will have a strong eye for product and ranging, strong people management skills, an ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels and be able to perform under pressure while operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • You will be analytical, methodical and a logical thinker with great attention to detail and an ability to creatively solve problems.
  • You will have sound knowledge of buying best practice, understand relevant legal agreements, robust financial and analytical skills and experience of Microsoft platforms and WMS or similar management platforms.

Day to day

  • The role will be primarily working from home, with a requirement to attend relevant meetings and attend the offices on occasion.
  • Owning and developing the product buying strategy for specific categories of ownership and supporting the head of buying and NPD in building procedures for buying and systems.
  • Conducting regular trade analysis to ensure sales and profitability targets are achieved while having input into range plans for all relevant categories.
  • Reviewing the market and product opportunities to ensure the company is market leading and always has the next best thing ready to factor into the launch programme.
